Whey Protein
Whey protein is the ultimate source of protein. It originates from milk. When the process is started to turn milk into cheese the magic whey protein can be separated and so begins the life of many of our favourite products. Whey Protein is an extremely high source of branched chain amino acids or BCAAs. BCAAs, especially, L-Leucine are the fuel for muscles and stimulate protein synthesis, every bodybuilders dream. So how much protein do I take a day? The answer to this varies from whoever you talk to, some say 1g to every lb you weight, others 2g. As a general rule aim for between 150g – 200g grams of protein a day from a mixture of food and shakes.
