Protein + Complex Carbohydrates: Fuel muscle growth and accelerate fat loss with the ideal blended ratio of complex carbohydrates and whey protein. An ideal, dynamic, supplement that can be adapted for muscle growth and fat burning whatever your sport.
After your workout it is vital to replace the glycogen which gives your muscles their lean mass and energy. According to current research, the protein requirement of athletes is approximately 1.2 – 1.8g/kg body weigh, compared with 0.8 - 0.9g/kg body weight for less active individuals. For heavy athletes, this extra requirement is especially important. Studies have shown that the inclusion of protein in sports recovery drinks can improve recovery and reduce post exercise stress after strenuous training. Glycogen is the stored form of glucose which is used as an energy source in muscles. It is also the main component of lean muscle mass. Muscle glycogen can usually provide sufficient energy for about 45 minutes of high intensity exercise. Once these reserves are used up, muscles become fatigued and more sensitive to cramps. You must replace your muscle glycogen immediately after exercise to feel fit and be ready to exercise the following day. The rate of post exercise muscle glycogen synthesis is 40 – 50% faser with carbohydrate / protein mixtures compared with carbohydrate only drinks.
The presence of protein appears to enhance insulin secretion primarily influenced by the carbohydrates, producing an increased rate of muscle glycogen synthesis.

Add 4 scoops (100g) to 1 pint of water. For best results use a blender, shaker or shake in a screw topped jar, otherwise mix with a fork. We recommend mixing with water. You may wish to use milk, but this is less nutritionaly accurate and less economical than mixing with water. Take immediately after exercise, and at any time when your protein and carbohydrate intake is low. Not recommended before exercise.

Great ingredient profile - just protein and carbs.
Keep it simple!
Taste is horrible but this product is the cheapest out there and it does what it should, great value!

I am reveiewing this in comparison to the other expensive brands out there... Firstly I noticed is the value for money, The 5kg tub contains enough servings for use twice a day for a month. If you use reflex or maximuscle or PHD then you need at least min 2 tubs to last the month if you use twice a day. Which works out expencive... The ingredients in maximuscle, reflex and PHD all in ones are more compaired to protein and carbs. BUT everybodys body works differently to others. You might find using this all in one does what is needed in gains etc... or like me you like to keep your body in shock and change every 2 months or so from this product to others because of the creatine and so on to get gains. Or this may not work at all... Pound for pound I found this supplement to be just as effective as all the other top brand all in ones out there. The best thing is the price!! Try it... I would like to comment on the other reveiws on here... Ignore these girls!! I have no problem with the taste of any flavor of this product, if you are a sensitive to taste then I recommend choc flavor, if it still bothers you, go get your handbag and go home. Diet, and exercise and training was never meant to be easy. Stop being a girl!! TRAIN HARD, FEED YOUR BODY, AND LOOK FORWARD TO THE GAINS!!!

Hi, I use this product once a day for six months after training to help put carbs and protein straight back into my body. im on my second tub of protein 1st being vanilla and this one was ok in taste but i didn‘t see any gains and it made me feel sicky after drinking it, so i thought i‘d give it the benefit of the doubt and try another tub as it is good value for quanity. So i thought i‘d try chocolate and oh my god it sucked it made me feel really sick and has given me tummy cramps everytime i use it. Ive had to go to the doctors incase it wasn‘t this but they said it would be. I‘ve now changed my after workout shake to a different brand and two weeks later ive got no more sickness or cramps.its the shakes. So is it really worth paying out this money if your going to end up ill from it ?? ‘‘NO‘‘ well thats my opion anyway. Although it is a good price for an after workout shake i think it is a cheap shake and makes you ill. If it was the normal price of 60.00 i would be slapping my self for being stupid for buying it.

After using for a few weeks I have noticed some gains in size and strength. However, I cannot drink the amount it says to as it destroys my stomach. Not for someone with a weak belly. Chocolate taste is horrible at first but you soon get used to it. I think its a case of you get what you pay for. If you have a strong stomach, can handle a bad tasting shake and are on a budget then this would be a great shake for you!!!
