CLA
CLA or Conjugated Linoleic Acid is a fatty acid that was discovered to exist in trace amounts in meat and dairy products by a Michael Pariza in 1978 during an experiment conducted at the University of Wisconsin in the USA. This amazing fatty acid is proven to produce a positive effect in subjects who wish to build muscle tissue and to reduce overall body fat. CLA occurs in trace amounts in animal protein, including beef, lamb, milk and cheeses. In essence an individual wanting to get the most beneficial effects from CLA would not be able to get the required dosage from these food products without having to ingests vast quantities. This would be detrimental as the caloric intake would slow the individuals metabolic rate and likely lead to weight gain, rather than weight loss! After extensive research a synthesizing process was developed, called advanced lipid technology, which provides the required dosage of CLA in a soft gel capsulated form that is easy to ingest. It works to strengthen the immune system, it effectively increases muscle mass and has shown that it aids in the reduction of body fat. Earlier studies dismissed fatty acids but further investigation has shown that there are positive effects to taking regular doses of Conjugated Linoleic Acid. It can be linked to the processes in the body that are directly responsible for growth hormone production. Research has shown that CLA is vital for the overall improved health of the immune system and the muscular tissue as well as for hormone regulation. It relates directly to the so-called growth factor in the human body. Studies have shown that even with a reduced food intake, by supplementing Conjugated Linoleic Acid into the diet that lean muscle mass increased.
